As my day job I work for Rackspace as Chief Digital Technologist. It is an interesting job title and occasionally people ask what role I play in the organisation. The digital technologist role has a couple of functions, first I offer advisory support to our customers with their digital strategy. This could be when they are embarking on a new project or a complete overhaul of their business processes. Secondly, I provide thought leadership by speaking at events and conferences and working on whitepapers or research. It is a very rewarding role that allows me spend time with our most interesting customers, when they are adopting new technology. I have been featured in the Rackspace “meet the Rackers” campaign, which means I appear on our website and this also included a short video. I hope you like it.
